Susan K. Childers LPC, ACS, NCC

Susan K. Childers is a seasoned business professional in the mental health counseling field. As a member of several national and state counseling associations and a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, she offers private practice counseling to individuals, couples, and families in the surrounding southern New Jersey region. In her warm approach she works collaboratively with clients to develop measurable outcome goals utilizing evidence-based practices and interventions to transform problem issues into healthier living. Her areas of specialization are: anxiety, bipolar, depression, grief and loss, marriage/pre-marital, trauma issues for women, life transitions, relationship issues, career development, spirituality, and supervision for counselors.

Susan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Grove City College. Later, she received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Cairn University, as well as the Certificate of Advanced Studies in marriage and family counseling. She has been teaching graduate level counseling courses at Cairn University for over 14 years. Currently, she teaches career counseling and continues to help develop and mentor graduate students and young professionals entering the counseling profession. Susan received her Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) training from the Beck Institute in Philadelphia. She is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and an Approved Clinical Supervisor.
